

Shania Gordon
Dancer/Sickle Cell Survivor
Shania Gordon has been performing with Central Virginia Dance Academy since 2016 and is the co-founder of Brown Ballerinas for Change. In 2018, Shania was chosen to be an ASK Kourageous Kid representing those in the Sickle Cell community where she is also a volunteer during their summer camp program. Subsequently, Shania was accepted to attend the Center for the Arts in 2019. Shania eats, sleeps, and breathes dance. She loves to cook and enjoys spending time with her friends. She desires to become a professional dancer with NYC Ballet and become a performer on a cruise ship ; without any set limitations to achieving her goal. Shania wishes to inspire those that see her, encouraging them to “not be afraid of who you really are and to work hard to be the best version of yourself”.
